William Andoh Wood

With over 20 years of experience at GE Power, a subsidiary of GE Vernova, Mr. William Andoh Wood brings a wealth of technical and strategic expertise to the helm of Hasman Technical Services. His distinguished career at GE saw him advance from the position of Field Engineer to that of Resource Director, where he managed both human and technical assets across critical energy projects around the world. Through his leadership, he consistently delivered value in one of the most respected names in global energy.

GE Power currently supplies electricity to more than one-third of the world’s population, operating across more than 150 countries and supporting the full power value chain from generation to consumption. Mr. Wood’s tenure at GE placed him at the center of this global energy ecosystem, allowing him to contribute meaningfully to the company’s international operations and its enduring impact.

Mr. Wood graduated with high honors from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Illinois, where he laid the foundation for his future in the energy sector. His time at GE Power culminated in a top executive role during his final three years, where he was involved in the strategic planning and operational execution of large-scale, high-output energy projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Upon recognizing a critical gap in Ghana and West Africa’s energy landscape—particularly the lack of highly capable, locally rooted power generation firms—Mr. Wood made the intentional decision to return to Ghana with his wife. Motivated by a deep desire to deliver world-class energy solutions while promoting industrialization through local content development, he founded Hasman Technical Services in 2014. His goal was not only to address the region’s energy needs but also to contribute to national development by creating opportunities for skilled local professionals.

Mr. Wood is internationally recognized as a Master of Engineering in gas turbines, steam turbines, and power generation systems. He possesses deep expertise in the full cycle of energy infrastructure, including turnkey power plant installations, technical support and advisory services for operational facilities, and the execution and management of both planned and unplanned outages. His command of OEM-grade operations and maintenance protocols ensures that clients receive services that meet and exceed global standards.

As CEO of Hasman Technical Services, Mr. Wood currently leads the delivery of strategic energy projects across the country and region. Under his guidance, the company executes new gas and steam unit installations while also providing long-term operational support, maintenance, and outage management services for key clients in the power and energy sector.
